Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University (here in after referred to as Beijing Tiantan Hospital) was founded on August 23, 1956. It is a grade-3class-A hospital with a neurosurgery unit and a characteristic neuroscience cluster, including medical treatment, teaching, research, and prevention. It also offers an Asian clinical, scientific, and teaching base of neurosurgery. Several medical institutions are located in Beijing Tiantan Hospital, including the China National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases, the National Center for Healthcare and Quality Management in Neurological diseases, the China National Medical Licensing Examination Clinical Skill Test Center–Tiantan, the China National Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment Office, the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Research and Training in Neuroscience, the Beijing Institute of Neurosurgery, and the Fifth Clinical Medical College of Capital Medical University.
