Peking University Cancer Hospital was founded in 1976 as a public research institute under the call of the government to fight against cancer, and it has a medical school called Beijing Medical University. In 2000, Beijing Medical University is merged into Peking University, which is a famous university around the world now and ranked 29th by Times Higher Education in 2017.
Peking University Cancer Hospital is the affiliated oncology hospital of Peking University, with commitment to high-quality cancer research and treatment. Peking University Cancer Hospital is also home to the Key Laboratory of Carcinogenesis and Translational Research of Ministry of Education.
